Dr. Arturo Lopez was born and raised in south Texas. In 2013, he moved to Ooltewah, Tennessee in search of a peaceful environment for his family. The rivers, lakes, lush green landscape and mountains nearby, along with its friendly people, all attracted him to this area, which he now calls home.
Dr. Lopez received his dental degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 2003. He graduated with honors and received recognition for excellence in clinical dentistry. In 2005, he completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency, where he received training in procedures such as implant placement, wisdom teeth removal and gum surgeries. Dr. Lopez considers his patients’ comfort of utmost importance and is therefore oral and IV sedation certified.
For four years, Dr. Lopez served as clinical professor in the Department of General Dentistry at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, TX. During his tenure as faculty, he taught several courses, including Diagnosis and Treatment Planning, and conducted various research projects.
During his free time, Dr. Lopez loves spending time with his wife and daughters, traveling, camping, participating in church activities, singing and playing the guitar.
Belen Giordano Geach, DDS, MS
Being a native of Argentina, and coming from a missionary background, Dr. Geach is happy to call Ooltewah her home. She fell in love with the area when she attended Southern Adventist University, where she earned a BS in Biochemistry and met her husband Jonathan. She then moved to California where she attended Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. While in dental school, she received awards for her clinical research and graduated in 2005 with a doctor of dental surgery degree.
Since graduation, Dr. Geach has held a position of assistant professor at Loma Linda University, where she was the primary attending faculty for Group 10, was course director or assistant in various dental classes, and maintained private practice at the faculty dental office.
She has a passion for treating temporomandibular joint disorders (TMJ disorders). She obtained a master’s degree from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Craniomandibular disorders and Sleep Medicine and went on to further her clinical training by doing a preceptorship year at the renowned UCLA Orofacial Pain and Dental Sleep Medicine Clinic.
Dr. Geach believes strongly in incorporating preventive dentistry and patient education in her patient’s treatment plans. She also enjoys providing dentistry to underserved populations and regularly serves at community events such as mission trips, Clinic with a Heart, and volunteering at community clinics.
Outside of her dental practice she enjoys traveling, cooking, reading, art, Bible study, and spending time with her family and friends.
